Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is a type of therapeutic massage that uses long, flowing strokes, kneading, friction, and other techniques to promote relaxation and improve circulation. It typically involves the use of oil or lotion on the skin, and the therapist will work on the client's back, arms, legs, and neck to release tension and promote relaxation. Swedish massage is a popular type of massage therapy that can be beneficial for relieving stress, easing muscle tension, and improving overall well-being.
Active cupping
Active cupping massage is a form of cupping therapy that combines the use of soft silicone suction cups with active movement. This involves moving the affected area of the body while the cups are still attached to the skin, which can help to relieve muscle tension, increase circulation, and promote healing. Active cupping massage is often used to improve range of motion, reduce pain, and enhance overall athletic performance.
Deep Tissue
Deep tissue massage is a type of therapeutic massage that focuses on deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. It uses techniques such as slower strokes, friction, and deep pressure to target knots and tension in the muscles, tendons, and fascia. Deep tissue massage can be effective for relieving chronic pain, improving mobility, and reducing muscle stiffness
Medical Massage
Medical massage is a type of massage therapy that is focused on treating specific medical conditions or injuries. It is often prescribed by a doctor or physical therapist as part of a comprehensive treatment plan, and may involve techniques such as trigger point therapy, myofascial release, or neuromuscular therapy. Medical massage can be beneficial for a wide range of conditions, including chronic pain, migraines, fibromyalgia, and sports injuries. This term is associated with insurance billing.
Muscle Flossing
Muscle flossing, also known as voodoo flossing, is a method of soft tissue mobilization that uses a latex rubber band, similar to a resistance band, for compression during passive or active mobilization.
This technique is meant to restore joint range of motion, increase blood flow to restricted areas, and compress swollen joints that lack motion and are stiff. It is often used before or after a sporting event or workout. Some of the more common areas wrapped include the quadriceps, hamstrings, ankles, elbows, shoulders, triceps, lower leg, biceps, and knees.
This method is done with scrupulous supervision and carefully timed.
